Retirement Planning….Market Volatility What to Do?
Late last year the equity markets experienced much volatility causing a lot of angst among investors, especially retirement investors. It is during uneasy times like this that many people start to have feelings of panic and forget the basics of investing. So, I thought I would use this post to remind investors about a couple […]
Back from Greece and back in Abaco…Again
We are now back at our winter home in Hope Town on our sailboat on Elbow Cay in the Bahamas. Two weeks ago, we were on a cruise ship crossing the Atlantic Ocean where we departed from Rome, Italy. Two weeks before that we were in Greece touring several great spots.
Our Daily Life in The Bahamas
It has been awhile since I have added a post to this blog. I have no good excuses except laziness and the fact there are so many activities here in Hope Town on Elbow Cay that I have not had made time to add a post. This post will summarize our activities the last 3 months.
Return to the Abacos

To get to Italy we decided to take another trans-Atlantic cruise. This 13 day cruise stopped in Funchal, Madeira, Gibraltor, and Alicante, Spain before our final destination at […]

By April the weather in the Abacos generally calms down for extended periods of time. This makes it easier to take longer cruises to the different islands in the area. Dena and I have just returned from a 12-day cruise to the islands in the northern part of the Abacos.
Cruising in the Bahamas
One benefit to bringing a boat to the Bahamas is that it allows you to cruise on your own schedule to all the beautiful islands, reefs, and quaint settlements that exist in this picturesque area. With a break in the weather this past week, we got our sailboat “Odyssey” out of the harbor and cruised […]
